About Tony Gaudry
Tony Gaudry is a direct descendant of Henry Kable and Susannah Holmes through their daughter Diana Kable, who married William Littleton Gaudry.
Tony lives in retirement in Picnic Point with his wife Christine. His family story reaches back through the Kable and Gaudry lines to the First Fleet, and through his own memories to Yerranderie and the Burragorang Valley before the flooding for Warragamba Dam.
Tony Gaudry wrote Son of the First Fleet to record Henry Kable Junior’s story and its Kable family background in early New South Wales.
Buy the BookSon of the First Fleet keeps Harry Kable’s life in focus, with Kable, Gaudry, Teale and Wild family connections included where they help explain his story.
As a direct descendant of Henry Kable and Susannah Holmes, Tony has spent his life close to this history. The Kable and Gaudry lines run through the records of colonial New South Wales from Sydney Cove to Windsor and The Oaks. Son of the First Fleet is his attempt to put Harry Kable's story down properly, for family members and researchers who want to know what the record actually shows.
